This is the first large cruise ship project built by domestic shipyards, utilizing Vichnet’s hot-dip galvanized cable trays and 316L stainless steel cable trays. The galvanized cable trays are mainly installed in the cruise ship cabins, while the stainless steel cable trays are used outdoors where they might come into contact with seawater and sea breeze. Hoisting method was chosen for this project. However, due to the uniqueness of the cruise ship, customized brackets had to be pre-welded to the top of the cabin. Cruise ships have strict weight requirements. Therefore, all construction materials need to be light. The decision to use mesh cable trays for wiring was also based on this consideration.
